OOTD: The office casual

definitely grumpy.

THE OUTFIT:
Brown Knit Shrug-George (Wal-Mart)
Purple long tank-Stitches
Black cotton high-waist skirt- Fairweather
Brown leather belt- my bf's old belt
Black real leather kitten heels-The Bay
Burgundy faux leather bomber jacket-Urban Planet

I am such a grumps! lol This is what I wore to my Uncle's office the other day when I visited! It was early in the morning (7:00am) when I took these pictures so please excuse the lack of expression on my face: I AM NOT A MORNING PERSON AT ALL!!! >.< Nonetheless, I wanted to share my casual office attire.I like to call this outfit "office casual" because it's casual but at the same time looks professional. I also tried to avoid wearing all black pieces because my Uncle's business partner always comments on how I never wear colour (which is true...black/dark colours are my staples). I always like to dress up when I visit my Uncle's office, because I hardly ever have situations where I need to dress up all professional-like. Plus, when I go to his office I get to do office errands such as filing , faxing, mailing, etc, so I need to look the part all the times, especially since it's an insurance business he deals with.
I also did a simple make-up look, and the pictures are below! Overall, I had a lovely day at the office as usual which ended with a delightful lunch at a nice Italian restaurant. How fitting! :) My uncle has asked me to visit him every 2-3 weeks for now on to catch up, which I would love to do. I really hope we can keep these arrangements up because I love visiting him and my aunt! They are truly special to me <3

MY FACE/ACCESSORIES:
Blue smoky eye make-up-Revlon pallette
Natural bronzer-Rimmel
"Blushing Natural CheekColour"- Estee Lauder
Usual/essential skin care stuff
"Champagne Mauve"-Avon lipstick
Gold hoop earring with purple stones-Avon
Real gold necklace & cross pendant (Canvassed texture)
Real gold bangle bracelet (Portuguese gold yeye ;D)
Real white and yellow gold ring

I really should have done close-up shots of the accessories...^^;

Pin Up Gal

I have always loved the pin up look so when MissJessicaHarlow on Youtube announced her giveaway "I'm a Pin Up Girl!", I had to do it! Pretty much, she asked the contestants to make a video response explaining "what makes you confident", while being dressed and done up as a pin up girl. My answer: I feel most confident when I believe and have faith in myself and/or what I am doing!
I mixed some of her makeup tips, with my own creativity to create my own pin up look and I think I did a really good job ;D I definitely felt very confident being made up the way I was. It took awhile to do the hair and the makeup but it all came together in the end. Here are some pictures I took of myself:

My fave picture from the "set"

I had a lot of fun taking these photos! I really felt like I fit the part of a pin up chick.  Although, I wish the camera that I used captured my natural blue eyes better :(

HAIR: I used hot rollers and rolled them inwards (20 mins).
            Added bobby pins
FACE: Elysee moisturizer
            MicaBella Mineral powder foundation
            QUO concealer
            Avon "swoon" pink blush.
EYES: Avon "romantic mauves quad" eyeshadow(pink slip & mauved)
           Faces eye highlighter
           Fake eyelashes
           Avon SuperSHOCK MAX mascara
Almay brow defining pencil (brunette) (used for fake mole near eye and brows lol)
Avon Daring Definition Gel eyeliner (black)
LIPS: Avon Glazewear "Real Red"
           Cherry Red lip liner
DRESS: Goodwill
EARRINGS: Avon

I would definitely rock this look somewhere classy and fun ! Maybe to a party or a club :) Too bad  I had no where to go when I did all this. Being sick also didn't help! I'm recovering now, slowly but surely...

Hope you all like my pin-up look!

Goodbye Truck.

I loved my truck so much, but now it is time to say goodbye to it after its brakelines have been rusted through. It's a fixable job but it's just too unsafe to drive it the way it is right now. Also, it's rusting pretty bad underneath and already made a hole through one of the important bars underneath :( It was the very first vehicle I went out and bought on my own last year <3 I know it's old but it was actually an amazing truck as it lasted through three accidents and hardly took any damage!!! IT'S A BEAST! I even passed my G road test in this truck on my first try (in Canada, the G test is the last test/license to get in order to drive on all roads, and it's really difficult to pass it!)!!!!!

I loved it for its nostalgic quality. Everything in it was so OLDSCHOOL, and I love it because modern cars don't have these qualities anymore. For instance, the way of locking it was the way people would legitimately lock their car doors in the 1980s. The steering was not powersteering,,,meaning you need some muscles to park and whatnot. The gauges inside were so old looking but awesome at the same time. It was like I was living the life of an 80s person in present day hahaha. I started driving this temporary Honda I have and it's so advanced compared to my truck. It was so hard to get used to! Steering was the biggest thing I had to get used to, because in the Honda it feels like I'm driving in an arcade driving videogame!

I am selling my truck and hopefully its next owner will be able to appreciate it the way I did, and perhaps be able to restore it. It could probably last another year, but I just don't have the funds to keep it up anymore. I am so sad about this :(

GOOD BYE 1987 MAZDA TRUCK, I WILL MISS YOU!! <3

Isn't it so bad ass?

The next post, I will hopefully have pictures of a newer Mazda car I have purchased recently :):)

New Hair bro.

After my tea party I got my hair cut! It's still the same length on the bottom, but I have short choppy layers on top! I loves it <3 I also dyed it a reddish-brown colour because my past colour was faded so much. I wish my hair was naturally red but it was too hard to keep up all the time :( I have decided to grow out my natural hair colour, and the dyed colour really would blend well with it. Here are the results! *Caution: I am a nerd* lol.

the colour it was before I dyed it!

After: brown-red hair with new hair cut!!! <3 The blonde parts are extensions;D

My bf is Harry Potter.

Hey everyone, here is yet another late post. I've been lazy, I'm sorry! :( I just wanted to make a quick post about the last Harry Potter movie, and how I absolutely....LOVED it, except the ending. I hated the epilogue in the book and was disappointed that they actually included it in the movie. I also dislike that they only took maybe one minute to depict Snape's past. I wish it was LONGER because that was my favourite part in the last book *sigh.*

On my actual birthday, I went downtown Toronto and took the subway with my friend. There is a subway stop called "St. Patrick Station" and it happened to be adorned in huge Harry Potter posters advertising the movie (my bday was two weeks before the movie came out). We decided to take pictures there, and I like to say that I got to be with my bf, Harry Potter ^.~ you will see why in a moment!!! (Although, I always had a thing for Draco Malfoy ;)) <3

I'm about to join him at Hogwarts through that door ;)

my bf <3 mhm mhm mhm

obviously, I was the reason for their hatred for one another!

Then, when the movie came out, I dressed up in my Gryffindor uniform and went to the movies! It was epic. GRYFFINDOR FO' LYFE YO. <3 I hope you enjoy my nerdiness!

English Tea Party

This post has been wayyyyy overdue, sorry! I wanted to write about my birthday/graduation party I threw myself. It was kind of disappointing that many people didn't show up...*ahemorbotherlettingmeknowtheyweren'tgoingto*...but the people who had decided to show up are honestly A-M-A-Z-I-N-G  :) And of course, the people who told me ahead of time that they couldn't make it are really awesome too. My party was Alice In Wonderland/English tea party themed, and I actually went out to auctions and thrift stores to buy trinkets, random tea pots & tea cups, hat boxes, etc that would make for a good mad hatter tea party ahahah! I even bought tons of different little desserts. Although not many people came and the party didn't turn out the way I totally planned, I still had an amazing time and I'm just grateful, again, for the friends who decided to come. I was skeptical about this party because whenever I have thrown large parties like this in the past, they have always failed, so I was expecting another failure which wasn't really the case this time around <3
I didn't get many pictures from the night though, but we honestly had a good time drinking, laughing, and getting bitten by the bugs...ok not really but I did get tipsy off of jello shooters, and alcoholic tea lol! And we had a random adventure in the night searching for bugspray around the area! hahah  ANNDDD
I asked for the girls to wear summer dresses and optionally, a hat! I was the only one that wore a hat but my friend Dave went all out too and wore a hat and bow tie :) hahaha

We really are mad!

Being very proper, especially with a jello shot in hand ;D

love them <3

some random stuff on the table!

Dave leading the girls on our adventure for bugspray!

I was tipsy by then lol

Me and my good friend Dave, a fine young chap hahahah

!!! I will have more new posts very soon...about a possible hair cut and my Harry Potter adventures :)

Catching Up

Hey,

I know, I know, I haven't been blogging for awhile. I always want to make my posts extra special with lots of pictures, to keep it somewhat interesting for the readers of course :)

I am going through a lot right now in my personal life. I had two mental breakdowns this past week because of what has been going on. They are things that are too complex to explain here but maybe sometime I will explain more in future blogs. Right now I've been trying to cope with all the stress and anger I'm dealing with at the moment.

The good news is: I had a great birthday/grad party on Saturday which was English Teaparty/Alice in Wonderland themed. I will make a post about that soon.

AND,
I joined the GYM last night!!! It's awesome because it's 24 hrs so I can go at night anytime. I hope I can keep up with it because I have signed up for a yearly membership!

I really hope everyone is doing well, and I will keep you posted SOON, I PROMISE. <3
